A peek into the lives of wading birds. All sorts of wading birds gathered last week to take advantage of a saltwater wetland that seemed to have just the right conditions for catching breakfast. We had roseate spoonbills, snowy egrets, reddish egrets, great egrets, tri-color herons, and black-necked stilts all in a very small area. It was pretty amazing to watch, but you have to do it from afar, they are very sensitive to disturbance and will fly off at the slightest noise or motion. Use binocul
